Research & Development

Our innovation begins in our research and development organization, which we call Deep Human Biology Learning (DHBL). The DHBL approach to science leverages our unique strengths in complex chemistry and disease expertise along with our advances in human genetics, biotechnologies and digital technologies.

Seemingly different pathological conditions that occur in a wide variety of human diseases can have similar causes and common mechanisms, so it’s vital that our approach to R&D encourages cross-pollination, collaboration and communication among all our scientists.

Watch an interactive panel discussion with Drs. Lynn Kramer, Chief Clinical Officer, DHBL, Shobha Dhadda, Chief Clinical Science and Operations Officer, and Janna Hutz, President of Eisai’s Center for Genetics Guided Dementia Discovery and Head of Neurology Discovery, in which they discuss how we’re revolutionizing drug discovery through DHBL with Britt Whittmore, Executive Producer, STAT Brand Studio.
