WHAT WE DO:

Eisai's efforts are centered on treatments for neurodegenerative diseases that focus on prevention and cure such as the next-generation Alzheimer's disease treatments under development. We are also pursuing new treatments for behavioral abnormalities seen in neurodegenerative diseases, as well as expanded indications and new formulations for existing products. Current neurology R&D initiatives include:

ONCOLOGY

WHAT WE DO:

At Eisai Oncology, we are driven to pursue innovative solutions to address unmet medical needs of patients living with cancer. We achieve this through our cutting-edge science and effective collaborations with other companies.

Our pipeline is focused on innovative therapeutic modalities and rationale combination treatment paradigms targeting difficult-to-treat cancers:

○ Development of the next-generation pipeline based on the latest science that addresses resistance mechanisms to Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs)

○ Transformative clinical research that utilizes innovative study designs and novel biomarkers

○ Drug development to control lineage-dependent cancers with low sensitivity to existing therapies

○ Strengthen and optimize the collaboration between Clinical Development and the Eisai Discovery units

○ Exploration of biomarker-based tumor agnostic strategies

○ Harnessing immunoncology and understanding the tumor microenvironment in the pathogenesis of cancer

REGULATORY

Allied to our human health care (hhc) philosophy at Eisai, we’re committed to developing optimal regulatory strategies, providing technical expertise, and mitigating risk - from drug development through commercialization - to deliver innovative therapies to our patients.

WHAT WE DO:

○ Apply US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and other global health authorities’ regulations and guidances in product development and in obtaining product approvals

○ Serve as liaisons with health authorities and internal project teams to ensure a timely and efficient product approval process

○ Keep abreast of the changing regulatory and legislative environment, guidances, and other regulatory intelligence to inform decision-making throughout a product’s lifecycle for the benefit of patients

○ Review advertising, promotional, and other materials/communications to ensure appropriate messaging to health care providers and consumers/caregivers
