Eisai Inc. hhc Pharmacy Recognition AwardPharmacists play a very important role in the Eisai mission by ensuring that patients and caregivers receive appropriate medications and counseling regarding treatment. Pharmacists are an informed, respected community-based health care resource. Eisai treats them as strategic and accessible partners and customers in the delivery of quality health care, and we share a common mission - to improve the lives of patients and their families.
In recognition of the contribution that pharmacists make to healthcare and their important commitment to patients, Eisai, in conjunction with Drug Topics, developed the human health care Pharmacy Recognition Award. The award was established to recognize pharmacists who work in their communities to provide quality care and improve the lives of Alzheimer's patients and their loved ones.
Eisai and Drug Topics recognize three pharmacists annually who have implemented initiatives that have enhanced the quality of care of Alzheimer's patients - either directly or indirectly - or have improved the competencies of caregivers or health care providers. Nominations are solicited annually from late fall until summer. Winners are announced and the awards are presented in November (Alzheimer's Awareness Month).
