Benefits

As part of our commitment to employees, Eisai offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

Medical, Dental, Prescription, Vision Plan

Comprehensive plans are offered to all regular, full-time employees working at least 30 hours per week. Coverage begins on the first day of employment.

Basic Life Insurance/Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D)

Life Insurance coverage is offered at three times annual base salary up to a maximum of $750,000. Accidental Death and Dismemberment is provided to employees in an amount equal to the group life amount. Coverage begins on the first day of employment and is at no cost to employees.

Voluntary Benefits

Eisai offers several voluntary benefits for employees at competitive group rates through payroll deduction. They include Voluntary Term Life, Hyatt Legal Plan, Group Home, Group Auto and Pet Insurance.

Business Travel and Accident Insurance

Employees traveling for business purposes are covered by Eisai's travel accident insurance for the amount of ten (10) times base salary up to $1,000,000.

Short-Term Disability

All full-time regular employees working 30 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits the first day of employment. Benefits are paid through a self-insured private plan.

Long-Term Disability

A fully insured long-term disability plan is provided after 180 days of continuous disability. There is no cost to employees.

Flexible Spending Accounts

Employees may make pre-tax contributions to the Medical Spending Account in the amount of $2,500 or to the Dependent Care Account in the amount of $5,000. New employees may enroll on the first day of employment. Coverage begins on the first of the month following enrollment.

Eisai Retirement Plan

Employees are eligible to make tax-deferred contributions on the first of the month following your date of employment. For 2013, Eisai will match 100% of the first 3% deferred and 50% of the next 2% deferred. There is immediate vesting in contributions and matching funds.

As an Eisai employee, you are also eligible to participate in Eisai's Employer Annual Contribution. Eligibility begins on the first of the month following 90 days of employment. This is an employee non-contributory plan and is in addition to the Eisai 401(k) plan. At the end of each plan year, Eisai contributes a guaranteed percentage, based on service with the Company. For 2013, if eligible, Eisai will contribute 4% of the employee's base salary into their account for the first three years of employment. Upon completion of the fourth year of employment, Eisai will contribute 7% of the employee's base salary into their account. Employees become vested after completion of three years of service.

Paid Time Off

Regular full-time employees receive a minimum of 20 Paid Time Off (PTO) days, which are accrued during the first calendar year of service. Additional PTO days are accrued based on years of service.

Holidays

Eisai ordinarily closes its offices in observance of eleven designated holidays.

Employee Assistance / Work-Life Programs

Eisai partners with Harris, Rothenberg International (HRI) to provide a comprehensive Employee Assistance Program which includes confidential and professional counseling for employees and family members experiencing personal problems. HRI also provides an extensive array of resources to help employees balance work and personal life demands.

Employee Referral Program

As part of Eisai's strategic plan to recruit "the best of the best," we encourage all employees to refer candidates by offering a cash bonus award.
