Eisai Inc. is a U.S. pharmaceutical subsidiary of Tokyo-based Eisai Co., Ltd., a research-based human health care company that discovers, develops and markets products throughout the world. Established in 1995, we began marketing our first product in the United States in 1997 and have rapidly grown to become an integrated pharmaceutical business.
Eisai Inc. is one of only four companies in the United States ever to reach $1 billion in sales within just five years. In fiscal year 2009 (year ending March 31, 2010), Eisai Inc. achieved sales of nearly $3.9 billion.
Drawing on the R&D strengths of our global parent company, Eisai Inc. focuses on three therapeutic areas: neurology, gastrointestinal disorders and oncology/critical care.
Eisai Inc. employs approximately 2,700 people in the U.S., including its facilities in Woodcliff Lake, NJ, Research Triangle Park, N.C., Andover, MA, Exton, PA, and Baltimore, MD.
